As Seventh-day Adventists, we hold to fundamental beliefs based on Scripture. These beliefs guide our understanding of God, salvation, and how we live our lives.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the ultimate authority for our faith and practice.
Salvation
We believe salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, by God's grace, not by works.
The Sabbath
We observe the seventh-day Sabbath (Saturday) as a day of rest and worship, as God established at creation.
The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, called to share the gospel and serve others.
28 Fundamental Beliefs
Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. These beliefs, as set forth here, constitute the church's understanding and expression of the teaching of Scripture.
Our 28 fundamental beliefs are organized into six major doctrines, each grounded in Scripture. Click on any scripture reference to read it in context.
